There is a lot of people who are or claim to be interested in the plight of women in Moslem countries. This is not strange - the status of women in the Moslem countries is on average much lower than in the Western world, and it's not surprising that people are concerned. What is strange is how little people who claim to be concerned about it actually know about it, even though the information is easily available. One would expect that people'd read up on something that interests them. Maybe I should write a short overview for those who are too lazy to read anything longer.
Here is a question for the interested: in how many Moslem countries (or in general in how many countries) men are
allowed to vote and women aren't? The answer will be posted tomorrow.
