Father Kills Daughter; Doubted Virginity

To make a short story even shorter, a father shot his 17-year-old daughter in the head four times on suspicion on her not being a virgin, even though she had been just examined by a doctor and found to be a virgin. (Autopsy also found her to be a virgin. I really don't wanna know how the girls who were born without any hymen to speak of manage to survive in Jordan.)

Normally I'd post this as a comment on a particular culture, but this is way too much even for Jordan.

And the Clueless Award of the month goes to:

"A state forensic pathologist, who works at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Amman where an autopsy was performed, said in a phone interview that the girl had run away from home several times for unknown reasons."

For unknown reasons? How about because daddy was a homicidal psychotic freak?
