I removed a glass shard from my eyelid last night. It wasn't one of the best moments of my common sense, but it went well. This is something that is not advisable to do on your own, at 2 in the morning while being extremely drunk, but there was the damn piece of glass sticking out of my damn eyelid, and it was either remove it myself, or go to sleep with it (not an option), or try the emergency room in the middle of Saturday night during the high Christmas party season.
I've removed glass from my skin before, hundreds of shards, but those were fresh, and none of them was in my eyelid. This one had been in my eyelid for 18 years or so, until a couple of weeks ago it started to move from its habitual place outwards, for reasons unknown.
I whined about it to my friends, every one of them recommended seeing a trained professional, and for some reason (severe attack of sudden russiannness?) I failed to do so. I was sort of thinking of doing so. Next week. Maybe. Or maybe not.
Anyway, for more than a week now I had a little hole in my skin that wouldn't close and wasn't big enough to let that thing through, it was getting bigger and more uncomfortable, last night it was big enough for a little bit of glass to stick out, so I squeezed it the way you squeeze a zit (more carefully though), more glass came out, and I grabbed it and pulled. It came out, nothing is damaged, nothing is bleeding, and it sure does feel weird not to have any glass in my eyelid.
The glass came to be there 18 years ago, as a result of an accident (face, meet windshield, windshield, meet face). I was taken to the emergency room, the doctors put a couple of stitches where they were needed, disinfected everything that needed disinfecting, and let us home with an advice to use bacitracin ointment, which turned out to be rather good. (OK, there was a lot more trouble involved but it wasn't medical and is beside the point.)
When I got home and slept on it, I realized that my face was totally full of glass shards, and some of my scalp too. I wondered why the doctors did nothing about it, because they must have known they were there.
In any case I was not about to go back there. I took tweezers, washed them with vodka, and started pulling out whatever stuck out. The process was suprisingly painless and bloodless. After getting rid of everything that stuck out I realized that there is lots more under the skin, and that they are easy to find (those were the places where even a little pressure on top causes sharp pain). A very small amount of very intuitive experimenting showed that they can be squeezed out like acne, although more carefully, and that all there is to it is squeezing them from the directions where they are flat, not from the directions where they are sharp, and that it's very easy to figure out which is which.
After a few days of that work all the glass was out, except for the shard that came out last night (it was in the middle of a rather big wound which i didn't feel like squeezing). No more damage was done, because every piece came out exactly the way it came in, without cutting anything.
And here is the thing I've been wondering about all those years: how do the trained professionals go about removing small shards of glass from patients' skin? The procedure I have just described requires the person to feel what he or she is doing. Do the professionals just cut bigger holes? Do they have some special way of finding the glass and squeeze it out themselves?

Hi Vera, My mother was in a car accident 30 years ago and is still dealing with the same thing. She has told doctors about it but they don't seem to think much of it. The crash was high speed though and in a car before the time of safety glass. Anyway, this has come and gone over the years but it has just recently reached an extreme. She is now pulling small pieces out several times a day and I am thinking maybe this is the deeper layers of skin from that time becoming exposed over time. I am hoping, as is she, that this will stop soon. Just wanted to share a similar story since I found your blog searching for ideas from others dealing with the same thing.

its been almost a month since my accident. its 300 am and i cant help but to dig in my arm for glass. i feel like a freak, but i cant help it. im under my cuts up to 2 inchs with tweezers trying to get a good enough grip on it. it seems that the skin slowly pushes the glass to the surface. but i have pieces in my shoulder that are in to my bone. it reminds me of a horror scene when i dig in my arm. anyone want a video?lol.
i broke a glass over my hand 7 years ago while washing dishes. a year and a half later, i had glass popping up from my hand. to this day, i have had glass come out of every finger on that hand and just recently, i have had glass pop out of THE OTHER HAND AND MY CHIN AND LIP! i have not gone to the dr. because i felt like i was going crazy. your story helped me feel normal, or mostly normal. it makes you feel like a wierdo and a freak. i have had the holes in my skin that do not heal until all the glass is out. it is frustrating and it makes you feel ugly. i wasd really glad to hear that i am not the only one dealing with this. thank you
I have this same problem! Only in my face, chest and shoulder. (Only the one) thanks to a 80 mph rollover on the hwy. Everyone assumes I am crazy! I feel it moving under my skin, I dig pieces out with tweezers and it leaves ugly sores. Is there a way to remove it medically or hell a better way than I have been doing? I have quit digging and let them come out on their own but , still I am taken.as a crazy lady with sores. No one believes me and its embarrassing!
I broke threw a thick layer of glass with my forearm 3days ago I have little tiny holes in me when I pulled my hand out the broken window, I'm wondering the hole that's by my vein on my forearm and the stitch by my elbow if it has glass because it's been 3 days and I'm scared if I might have a glass by or threw my vein since it flooded blood once I pulled my hand out the broken window and what should I do,
This makes me feel better..was in a car wreck three weeks ago...just pulled piece of glass atleast 1/4 inch out of my cheek ...thought it was a pimple!
I was in an accident being thrown thru a windshield years ago. After an infections started on my chin/jaw (i landed on my left cheek and broke my jaw) I am not having glass flecks and fiber like thin strands come out of my face. It is a nightmare to say the least! I don't know if the infection caused them to surface or what. i have removed a lot with a tweezer and it feels like glass in my face. Reading this helps!!
Finally an answer!!! I was in a car accident in 2003!! My scalp will break out in a little area and I will dig at it and it reminds me of ground glass!! It finally clears up!! The accident I was in broke every window in the car and pulverized glass was every where!!! I had glass in my hair, my mouth, and my nose had a big gash in it!! Which the ER stitched up!! Three days later my face swelled up and I panicked went to a different ER where they took x rays and opened up the wound and took out big chunks of glass the other ER had stitched over!!! Luckily the NP had worked for a plastic surgeon and did the stitches correctly!!!! Every so often I will find a little tiny piece of glass working out!!! Very annoying on the scalp so I guess I will put up with it!! It bleeds like someone just ground glass in my scalp!!! I am blessed to be alive so I will deal with it!! Thanks for the post!! I have been trying forever to find an answer!!!
Glass in arm from crash annoying waiting for surgery getting lab work done know..worryed it mite go into my vains, heard of a guy who died like that, glass made it throo his heart and died..
It's been a while now since the incident has occured. I hope that everything has been patched up at this point, and that you are coasting into the road with a fine-looking vehicle that is good as new. Do take care always. All the best!

I have a piece of glass or some foreign object stuck in my lip from an auto accident I was in 12/26/14. The car was totaled, we rolled over a parked car and landed on our side. My boyfriend was driving and he was wearing a seatbelt, I was not. The front and back windshield both broke and there was glass everywhere. I broke my nose, septum, medial orbital wall, and had a concussion. It's not showing up on an xray but I can feel it and now it's infected and swollen. They gave me antibiotics but that's it. Im seeing a plastic surgeon Monday for my nose. Hopefully he will be of some help. I want it out! Please help!
My wife was once married to a man that broke a hanging shandaler light in her Face. That was over 20 years ago. He broke her arm and cut her up. He has pay the price because he died years ago. It comes out in layers depending on weather. Her face can be clean as can be but then in starts showing again and again. She fells better about it thanks to your web site.God Bless every 1 wth the Glass coming out.
I was in an accident in 1998 wheras glass was enbedded into my scalp. I begin to have headaches all the time.
I told this elderly lady about my accident and what was going on with me, what she told me to do I thought she was crazy. She told me to put salt pork onto my scalp and it will draw the glass out of my scalp. Well I didnt try this until I couldnt take the headaches anymore. I finally put the salt pork on my scalp. Yes, the headache finally stopped, but I have hair breakage in that same spot. I'm wondering is glass still in my scalp.
I have looked & looked for how to get this out of my hand. My kids broke a lightbulb and it was in with lego's I was shoving into a pile. That was 22 years ago. I had surgery back then, but another large piece was missed! Well, here we are, glass is coming out little by little from my left hand (I am left handed). Some of it is like grains of sand.It hurts very badly and I pull more out. I have gone to the E.R., who put me on an antibiotic and wrote a script. for hydrocortisone. They took anxray, no glass they said. It didnt heal in a few places, and sure enough - more glass!I went to an arrogant hand surgeon, who wrapped it up and said come back next week. Well, I didn't go back, the jerk! I am still picking it out. It's been coming up for about 6 months now. Urgggggg!!!!!!
Just pulled a piece of glass out of my eyelid thats been there since 1991! As above no pain, came out clean after the area where it was began to redden and darken about a month ago. Very weird!
Glass normally will not show up on an x ray ?
I thought I had a herna that was getting bigger just below the middle of my chest. I've had that bump their for years. Recently went to the doctor and he said it was a cyst and not to worry. 3 weeks later something sharp was poking out. I squeezed and grabbed it and a glass shard came out 1/8" think and 1/2" long. I've asked relatives and thought back. Where and when did this thing get stuck in me.

I was in a bicycle accident over 20 yrs ago, the injuries were more in line with a car wreck being that someone landed on my head breaking jaw ect. My surgeon gave me a container filled with rocks and said that the rest would come out around the time I went to college. He also said that he couldn't determine the amount that was left in my head. There is still glass coming out and I'm 31 yrs old. It hurts like hell, so fucking painful. Does anyone else with it embedded in scalp for 20+yrs feel this pain too? I found that tweezers usually push the glass deeper. It's exciting when it's itchy because that is when it's about to fall out. So bothersome!!! I have patches and long periods of time that I can't have my hair done because glass is coming out. I think I'm finally at my last ( and one of the largest sections ) rock/glass. Hoping this is the last but it seems like more and more keeps appearing. This is driving me nuts, I totally feel like a crazy person but know dam well that it's the street I grew up on coming out of my head! The headaches I didn't even relate till now!
I dropped a broken jar on my foot about 50 years ago - at the ER they scrubbed out the wound and put stitches in - for a few years, occasionally one of the stitch scars would turn red and puff up then a small sliver of.glass would pop out - recently .one of those stitch scars started itching and a tiny piece of glass popped out after being in my foot for.50 years! I was shocked and wondered if anyone else had had glass work it's way out after such a long time
i had an accident 3 yeays back and face got hit to windshield same as you..
several small glass pieces were removed after stictches to my face during time of cleaning my face and then 2 i removed after 1 or 2 months .But one i am feeling in my inside of nostrils still it is there .what shall i do ? may be i have do go for some skin doctor to remove it.
Wow!! I'm not the only crazy person it seems. Listen to this! I re-furbished my table top with ceramic tiles and in the process broke up a few for a mosaic border..grouted it all in. That evening I pulled a few glass shards out of my leg and over a few days found some in my arms, shoulders, legs. More time passed and so much made it's self known in my scalp it was CRAZY. Thought I would go insane, took so long for that to get better. In the mean while more coming from all around my hair line. It got kind of scarey when the glass came down from my sinuses into my nostrils as splinters, then particals, then sand and now mostly sharp dust. My upper chest is scarred, my neck, my face and hairline, my shoulders and upper back, upper arms. A couple of days ago some bumping up on my tummy and hips. The worse part being..How in the heck did this sand get into my bladder and bowels???!!! What a ridiculous PAIN!!! I just don't get it! Must have shot through me like bullets, like shrapnel, like an exray...didn't even know it because I didn't feel it going in. it's been 6 months people and the old scars are bumping up with new purging uck uck uck!!! Sharp little glass dust still coming out in sleepers from my eyes every morning after sleeping for the night ARGHHHH! Raw again and waiting to see how long this goes on. Do I scratch at it to try and get this garbage out of my skin???Yep! I sure do! What would YOU do?!So I look like a zombie lady and on it goes.
I was in an accident 43 years ago where the car rolled many times. All the windows were broken and I had glass coming out of my head and limbs for years. Now after all this time I have a sharp pain whenever I lean on my elbow...even while leaning on my pillow. I looked at it in the mirror and it is right where some of the scars are from the accident (where the glass was in my elbow).
Could more still be in there??? How do I get it out? Any ideas are welcome.
I had a car accident 28 years ago , had a small piece of glass under my ear, then couple of years ago it disappeared , only to my surprise I felt something in my mouth , ( was worried it was my filling) so spat it out in my tissue, and it was a piece of glass , exactly same size !!
Amazing creatures aren't we X
I was in a car accident 32 years ago and my face went out through the windshield and then back in. I've been having tiny shards of glass come out of my face occasionally over the years. I too experience the same reaction from people whenever I tell someone its glass from an accident 30 years ago, they look at me like im nuts. No one ever believes that's what it is.Now the last year I've continued to have the glass keep coming out of the same spot. I think it might be the spot of impact and will soon be all out. So far that's not been the case. Everyone always think it is a zit but I can tell the difference right away cuz the glass feels sharp to touch and hurts way more until I get it out then it instantly feels better! It is kinda freaky to think about there being glass embedded that deep in ur skin it takes years and years to surface. I never knew it was possible.
I am having the same problem and when I went to a doctor a few years ago for it because I dug a nice spot she said there was still some in there but it would come out on it's on. (I was in a wreck 10 years ago my forehead ate window). This week it started merging from it's home which is slightly painful. No one believes me either. Its super annoyinh
I was in a horrible car accident 23 years ago and have had glass coming out of me ever since then. My scalp, eyelids, nose, face, ear, mouth, arms, legs, hands, feet, and even the tops of my boobs (vickys secret push up bras are a blessing and a curse). I have been to several doctors, allergists, dermatologists, and even a shrink and they all dismissed me. My family and friends don't believe me. Until I found this blog today, the only person to take me seriously was a hardened ER nurse who immediately recognized what was wrong and asked me if id been in a bad wreck - I didn't even start the conversation! I'm blown away by the posts I've just read. I feel like an ugly freak and people treat me like a leper, but at least for once in a very long time I don't think I'm crazy.
Thanks to all of you guys for that!!!
So now I have a question: besides digging the sparkles out, does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with it? I'm really tired of poking myself with myself.
OMG I'm so happy to hear that people have the similar stories. I was in an accident a year ago and now I am having pieces of glass in my forehead between my eyes and on my eyelid I dig for these things to come out but they're just too far in there and they hurt really bad. All my friends think I'm some sort of druggy or something with all of this scars on my face. I recently went to a dermatologist that told me to go to a plastic surgeon that told me to go to the Urgent Care that told me to go to the emergency room and then those guys told me to go back to the plastic surgeon all charging me $1,000 along the way. I am so frustrated right now I don't know what to do.
Had a small lump on sole of my foot my whole life and never bothered me knocked the skin off the top of it when I tripped on the door step and found glass no memory of stepping on any started trying to get it out felt like foot was getting tight and one and a half years later I'm still not to the bottom of the main piece and tight feeling is now over half my foot including between the toes and sparkling bits through layer after layer of skin also some tiny fibers? Some of the sparkles look like they have color not just clear and I'm wondering if the main piece has been pulling apart as I've grown up - I'm 53 someone said might be fibreglass? I'm sick of pulling layers of skin off every night I have to keep at it as the skin is very tight and crunchy and if I leave it alone it just gets tighter and tighter

I was in a very bad car wreck May 1st 1983, 9 day's away from turning 16, I prettt much lost tbe right side of my face, even though you can't tell it, except for now l this glass is coming out of tbe scars, 34 years later, but it is also coming out of my fingertips, toes, and the bottom of my feet,I have heard that embedded glass can come out of your extremities, well it does, and it cuts coming out just like it does going in, looking at my face with all this glass cutting as it comes out, yuck!! People think im crazy when I tell them its glass from a carwreck 34 years ago. Im so happy to have found all these testimonies. So Im not crazy after all. Lol
I was a bartender for 9 years. Two weeks before I left the job, some drunk guy insisted on using a "fancy" stem glass for his beverage. I finally obliged & gave him the glass, which was as old as me & had likely been washed 20,000 times. They were not used anymore- except when a drunk guy saw them & demanded "to be fancy".
20 minutes later, while talking with his hands he forcefully knocked the now empty glass over on the bar, a foot from me. It shattered ALL OVER ME. Everywhere. I was wearing a tank top & leggings. It was August. I was busy. So sweaty. I was in shock but I only had about 1 minute to go in back & brush off what I could. In hindsight I know now that I brushed every tiny bit into my sweaty skin. I worked 3 more hours. I went home & took a hot shower. In hindsight I know now that I Sealed the deal by making sure I embedded every piece in my skin. I had no idea what the rest of my life would be like.
For a month, not much. I had a couple visible little cuts and they healed. About a month later, I looked down one day & noticed a glimmer on (in) my chest. Within days it became a half in half out visible shard of glass sticking out of my cleavage. I tweezed what I could but I was tweezing a chard of glass that was so old it shattered to almost dust. Glass dust. All in my skin. For every piece that works it's way up & out (of my face, lips right now I'm dealing with glass in my lip & above, I have had in my gums multiple times!) that I get ahold of, I'm fairly certain half of it breaks off & stays for next time. Skin sort of heals, then in a month or 3 or 6 it happens again. My right side is writes as that's what was facing the bar, but it all sucks.
I'm pretty sure peopl thought I was nuts for a awhile. Or still do. I try to let it go a bit more now instead of tearing my skin apart for every piece.
It's been 8 years & although it's better, less frequent surfacings, I don't think it will ever be all out.
So sorry you're all dealing with similar things. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one living with this shit. A few of my friends & two doctors have since been in accidents or at home accidents where glass was imbedded. It's the exact same thing. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. However a little empathy is good too have when dealing with random situations like these. If you don't know, you'll never know. I don't know how else to explain it but with a lame cliché.
Andrea
I think my story is probably the strangest one here! About a year ago the top of my head on the right side started itching. It was raised and had glad spikes coming out. The worst part for me is I have no one to help me and it is on top and behind my head so I’m working blindly!
I started scratching at the different sites and found a glass like slices of glass were coming out. It was Amber in color and oh so painful as when you don’t know direction and accidentally push it back in, the pain was immeasurable. Unfortunately I had no incident happen that I could recall glass to my head. No car accidents, etc. I even asked my husband if I forgot something, if he could remember where it came from, nope, no glass accidents. Plenty of broken bones but no glass!
This went on for a couple weeks until I finally got all out. All of it was located on the top right of my head.
A month ago, my head started itching again, didn’t even think about it could be glass, that was in the past, or so I thought.
This time I am pulling large pieces of glass and this glass is just like what you would expect if you went through a windshield of a car. There are ridges that seem like where my head was cut and it was stitched back. Lots of crooked, jagged lines and a couple large straight ones too. I have pulled out so much glass and where does this come from? Plastic. The plastic is tight to my scalp to begin with, feels almost as though it is melded into my scalp and I just can’t pull it up. If I use something sharp to put a hole in it, it goes loose and come up. Underneath there are shards of glass that are pressing upwards to come out and are very painful. All of this is only on the right side of my head.
Underneath my scalp are pieces of glass that measure anywhere from 3in long x 1 in wide, down to small pieces that are broken up and lots of plastic!that is not attached to my scalp, I actually pulled lots of this through a small hole. I estimate that when through almost half the volume of my scalp on that side will be gone when all this is removed.
I also have the tiny splinters all over the right side. These I have to pull out behind my head by using the corner of my fingernail to pull up and some are attached deeply. It seems the sharp end of the splinter has gone soft and starting to attach as well.
All of this digging and not a drop of blood just increase to the clear liquid. I do understand the medical side of this. The clear liquid is the bodies way of causing pressure to the area to expel the foreign matter, it is caused by the immune system. What I don’t get is where this all came from...
I am going to my doctor on Monday and I understand a CAT scan can see the glass where other tests can’t. I hope to get this and have large material removed. I am so bewildered by all this that I think I’m going crazy. Then you try to tell someone what is happening and they look at me like I’m crazy!!
So glad to see this forum. Everyone here understands and can feel your pain. I want to hear from others who have found foreign matter in their bodies that is unexplainable. I’m so intent on getting an answer if I can’t get it, I plan to go Under hypnosis to find out. Sorry for all of your pain, I know it has been and for some,’still is very rough. God Bless
I just went to the ER today, I have large pieces of glass working their way out of my scalp.
The glass has been in so long that there is a spongy material completely encasing it. I get the impression of a pearl in an oyster, the bodies way of covering an irritant. If this is the case, it has been there a long time, no X-ray will not pick it up. They said I had no glass there even though I’m digging it out. No one would feel either!
I think I read somewhere you need CAT scan. The X-ray does not reflect off glass that has been there a long time.
I wish we had a doctor to answer our questions!
I have been in numerous car wrecks, have had my ex-fiance shatter a "shatterproof" bowl over the back of my head causing a concussion(requiring staples), broken mirror slivers found in my bed and clothes(abuse from ex-fiance) so I'm not sure what has caused it but a few months ago some bumps showed up around on my knees, wrists, elbows, feet, chest, and on my back. Not all at once but within a few days of each other... They were itchy but sore to the touch at first... then turned pinkish and felt like I was being stuck from the inside out... I removed what I thought was glass from each spot. Sometimes it took several "pickings" to get it all from some places... The pain wouldn't subside from each bump until it all was removed... It took about 3 weeks for it all to heal... Haven't had a problem again until about a week ago... The spots start out with no color but raised then pinkish to red, and the pain intensifies until they can be "popped" and the glass is completely removed from the bump... This time they are on my arms(primarily around my elbows, a spot on my chest, some on my panty line, tops of my shoulders, my lower back, and all down my legs and feet... My boyfriend thinks I'm picking at nothing and causing the sores... He's doesn't believe me.... he's googled different things and had decided that it has to be psychological. I've even shown him small shards from different bumps... help me
Help me is exactly right. I am also living in a glass nightmare. I recently broke a Corelle dish which are not supposed to break, but shattered through my entire kitchen and myself. I had pieces of glass embedded in my linoleum countertops, as well as my floors and myself. I immediately got my vacuum out because I have a dog and did not want her to go through these pieces. I had my nightgown on so I went outside after vacuuming and shook and shook and shook. Then I tried to see if I had missed any of the pieces that had literally exploded in my kitchen. Not even thinking about this entire time I was literally spreading all of these little pieces on my entire body. After taking off my robe and pajamas very carefully I found pieces in every part of my body. I now feel Like I am literally living in hell. I have picked and picked and picked small pieces of these little tiny shards of glass out of my body and have now been filled with scabs that look horrible over my entire body. I know I have little sandy pieces of this in my eyes as someone else has stated above. Because every morning I wake up with matted eyes and have these little pieces that look like sand on my eyelashes. I also didn't think about it being in my hair and have pieces on the back of one ear and inside of the other. I have removed the pieces from the back of the ear but I'm still working on the pieces that are in my ear because they are flat shards and not little sharp pieces. This makes it so difficult to remove them and my ear bleeds and bleeds. So I put a wet Kleenex inside my ear so that the pieces do not go further in while I am trying to pick out these very thin flat shards. I feel like my days are a living hell. I shower and vacuum and vacuum and pick and try to survive this without going absolutely crazy. Every time that I am in the bathroom or the kitchen and over my dark countertops I see little fine pieces of this glass still floating around from me or within the room. I am not sure. I just know that every time I find another piece it drives me crazy. I am so thankful that I came across Vera's log to find that I am not the only one that has been living through this nightmare and probably will for a long time as all of you are talking about. I have copied this log to prove to my mother that I am not having a psychotic episode, and all of these issues that I am dealing with are real and not my imagination. It is kind of a good feeling that I am not alone. Except I would not wish this upon anyone. I am sorry to say that we are few amongst many that have to deal with this. I just wish that there waa something that could be done by the doctors immediately. It would be worth the cost of the hospital. Beat wishes to all. And, thank you so much for sharing your issues with this nightmare that I wish that I could just wake up from!
Oh my goodness i had a woman hit me in the face with a glass 25 yrs ago.. I always knew I had a big piece of glass in my face but never had time to fool with it so one day 25 years later I tried to get it out what a mistake hundreds upon hundreds of shards of glass pieces of small as dust particles started coming out of my face so I start trying to pluck them out I read on the internet to moisturize the skin to help the glass rise that was a big mistake because all it did was allow the glass to move she hit me on my left cheek the glass move down under my lip on the left side of my face it also moved B2 between my nose and my lips when I was laying on the right hand side of my face sleeping it moved from the left hand side of my face went through the top of my right lip into my bottom lip and out of my chin on the right side of my face it also slid across my nose and deposited a piece in my right cheek so I would definitely not suggest moisturizing it and if you had a glass situation and it hasn't been giving you any trouble don't mess with it I went to try to get one piece of glass and now have hundreds of pieces of glass coming from my face and lips for the last 30 days it is the most miserable thing the best thing is just let it dry up and it also moved down my neck to my chest unreal I pray for all glass injury sufferers to have relief I did try one thing that worked a little bit that was freaking painful though dr. Scholl's wart remover comes with 17% salicylic acid solution that is used to dry up warts to keep it from spreading I put some of the solution on the big spots of glass and it condensed it and kept it from moving and dried it up to help the glass rise good luck
I also had an accident .I'm glad your ok til this day ..
I had been in a car accident on Dec where I was veer off the road by a buck .my car a nissian 2016 air bags fail deploy n I hit the windshield lucky I did fly out the window when I hit the tree ..now I notice thisichey painful sting

I was robbed and hit with glasses and bottles 19 years ago. I feel numbness on top of my head. Theres only one explanatio for it. Its the glass I can feel it its lately painful. I will going for a cat scan to see if they can find the glass then my Dr will try and remove them. I ve asked every next person to check and see if the cannot find pieces on my scalp. All said you have a nice clean scalp no dandruff nothing showing up at all. At times I feel like Im going crazy. My kids think its a psychological problem I have. Im glad for this blog. Ive taken screen shot so I can show them. I hope we will all find relief soon. Thank you for knowing Im not alone. Mind you Im a black, South African, Xhosa at once stage I thought I'm bewitched. Now I know for sure its the glass that is bothering me.
I bumped into a standing mirror and it broke into pieces. Some of those pieces went into my back. A lot of the glass came out, but still have more under my skin. It just shows up and causes cuts on my arms and legs and is very itchy. So I have been putting hydrogen peroxide on the bumps and baking soda then the glass comes to a head and makes a scab and is easier to take out. Besides the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda I also put a ice cube in a towel and rub it over the glass and that makes it hard and helps to take out the glass. The glass sometimes comes in clusters in one spot so when I take some of the glass out I can still feel more pieces in the same spot. So I just keep doing the same thing until it is all out of that area then it begins to heal.
Hope this will help someone who has this problem with glass under the skin. I do have some scars, but they seem to fade after awhile.
I have gone through 7 windshield in my life so far. This explains a lot. I have had people accuse me of tweaking, even police officers and DHS because I had what they called meth sores. I voluntarily submitted a UA every time just so that they could shove it up their ass. I also have hyperhidrosis, so that didn't help at all either. My latest occurrence, as I am extremely allergic to class, it is my enemy, happened from my cell phone screen shattering and I still use it for a few for for a few days thus spreading glass from my fingertips to my face and other places. I never I knew that you had to take them out directly or or be be easy when removing them as I have always been very aggressive. Damnit I wish I would have known this before. Thank you all for your post though. Still don't know how I'm going to get mine out though. I like the idea of getting a cat-scan though.
I was in a car wreck 44 years ago an still have places on my face that I can feel glass in. They don’t come out too easy. Right now my forehead has got sores all over it , I can not seem to get the glass out . Then they heal up for a while, and start all over again. People don’t believe me either when I tell them it’s glass from 44 years ago! I m glad I see I’m not the only one with this problem. Thanks
I had a glass thrown at my skull. It was my forehead. Anyhoo i went to the emergency room to get stapled up but since then it was swollen up allot around my wounds. Ive been squeezinf tiny glass shards out since... Will the swelling go down eventually even with tiny glass shards stuck in there... Would z plasty scar revision help?
In 2013, I fell on a glass made of a type of Fiberglass - which is the most difficult in all my experiences with broken glass. Anyways, the tiny shards transferred from my left palm, to my face, and anywhere else I touched (for example, a few times I forgot and might have tried to pick a pimple or blackhead, and sure enough, it would lodge there!). Now, 5 years later, I’ve suffered through a number of these events, and now the pieces are almost so small that you have to have a really good eye to see them (looks like glitter). Some pieces are bigger, and could be from other broken glasses/bowls, but it’s to a point where it has practicially destroyed my face. My friends always assume it’s easy to ignore it, and don’t understand the real pain associated with this issue. Being a MRSA carrier, it makes it much more painful and susceptible to infection. I can’t determine the direction easily, due to the size. On one finger, for example, it seems like there is a big piece laying parallel to the subcutaneous layer, because I can’t even poke a hole through the dead layer of skin without excruciating pain. I’m hoping that maybe there are new procedures to remove these tiny pieces without incision? I heard there was a laser but am not sure. Does anyone have any advice? I want to minimize scarring, only if I even have to
venture into the depths of my skin with a needle or other tools ever again - I’m hoping not! Thanks!
I had a head injury after a traumatic wreck.. it's been 4 years and I'm still getting glass out of my head.. its crazy
Try a shop vac on that spot I don't know but it may work
Thank You!!!
I was in a car wreck over 2 years ago.
Had a stitch here and there on my face.
I went two years with what i assumed to be a permenant scar on my cheek.
Just recently i started messing with it and i thought to my self this cant be a stitch its glass.
Ive tried and tried geting it out with tweezers but it seemed the only way was cutting my cheek in the process.
I find this site and such simple words as ...pulling it from the right angle and BOOM.
No more pointy cheek THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I am free once more and i can really move on and take on the world again.
I've never felt so alone... I've had gone to the doctor and they don't even examine me they just treat me like I'm some mental person that has been digging! I'm thankful to have read these story's because I'm not alone so thank you for posting. It's been a long process and just when I think it's almost gone a few more come to surface. I got to see how hateful and rude some people can be through this experience. Thank you for your story's
I regret terribly now that I continued using a cell phone long after I dropped it on a sidewalk and broke open the screen with anetwork of cracks. I recall toward the end of my use of that phone wondering to myself "Where the heck is all that glass going? (after noticing the enlargement of the holes between the cracks on my screen) This is the blog where have finally felt "vindicated" from ALL the people who have denied my reports of what is torturing me by poking my skin in multiple "glass spots" on my scalp, face, and other isolated spots thru out my body, but primarily and initially in my fingers and between fingers and on palms of hands. Including, but not limited to, Urgent Care Doctor, my 15-year long Primary Care Clinic's 2 or 3 Doctors, several E. R. Doctors, and now my highly acclaimed University Dermatalogical Specialist. Lots of people-my entire family and even a couple of meth smokers I just happen to know thru business, swear that the glass spots are from meth use........uhh, that I do not happen to do. The people I've talked to about it who do use meth, claim it is meth "detoxing"/eliminating itself thru my skin!!! But....I don't ingest that, so I know thst's not the case. I never actually observed the process of the pieces of cell phone screen glass entering my skin, so determining precisely what this mostly invisible to the eye, sharp stuff is is disturbing. It is important to me to verify the source of this nightmare for the sake of my pet, and to ensure our safety from continued exposure to a painful possible Hazardous Material in our living environment. What I mean is: I AM JUST NOT 100% SURE THIS IS ALL FROM THAT CELL PHONE SCREEN, &, thus, feel determined to do all I can (getting the help I need) to get an answer! I just need to make sure I am not perpetuating a bad situation, and that, if not, I can conmort myself with the assurance that some day the glassy invasion Wil dissapate. Thank everyone here who shared this as it is a shameful thing, at least within our society. I am surprised to learn just how mean and judgemental our people really can be-all too often. It puts into sharper perspective how there got to be so many tents all around my beautiful city! Many of our citizens are unjustly ostrich zed right out of their livelihood by those who are supposed to be here to help, advise, and/or protect them.
i was using a cutting torch cleaning up scrap metal at a foundry. i had misplaced my right glove. another glove was on the floor nearby and looked relatively new. as i put it on i realized that was not the case. it had picked up some sand from the molds for cast iron and must have been exposed to high heat. i have been extracting very small tiffany-glass colored shards for several years. at least they have abated to the point i can turn the key to start my car.
FINALLY!!!! I got hit in the head with a coffee cup a couple of years ago. When I blow dry my hair my scalp gets VERY hot and when I use my comb with the metal end on it I can feel it go over the porcelain. Everyone was telling me I'm tripping out but when I have them feel the pieces coming out they are all, oh yeah I do feel something lol. Well yeah, I have a whole coffee cup embedded in my scalp. So thank you I knew I wasn't crazy. I get BAD headaches too, and I am VERY forgetful and just flat out don't remember anything a lot of the time. It sucks.
Yup It’s me again 5 years latter sometimes it goes away and sometimes it erupts in my scalp in several places following a crooked part line that I realize that’s where auto glass smashed on my head!! I have pictures of the crashed car Guess we can call it srapnel??
I am going through this same thing! I am so happy I found this blog.. everyone thinks I am crazy or on drugs and I definitely am not. This is making me feel like I am going crazy though. It makes me not want to go in public or wear short sleeves. It is extremely embarrassing and makes me self conscious. It is starting to affect my life in a negative way and I just want this to be over. I constantly vacuum and shower multiple times a day, I try to keep any area where I am extra extra clean. I have kids and pets and do not want this to come into contact with them.
I went to close a window a couple months ago that was opened and had gotten stuck and when I was able to get it unstuck it slammed closed and shattered on my hand and arm. It was in the curtains and I moved them without thinking about glass being in them. Since then I have had glass in my face, arms, hand, now on my shoulder, scalp, and hip. It makes these dark looking sores that aren’t open and do not seem to go away until the glass is out. The glass looks like grains of sand, hard flakes, and also pieces that are thick chunks of glass. I have used peroxide, baking soda, antibiotic ointment, I have taken oral antibiotics, PRID ointment, and wash with antibacterial soap, coconut oil.. I feel like this is never going to end. It helps to know that I am not the only one who has experienced this.
If you will put the white part of bacon on the skin and tape it in plAce it will draw the shards of glass out on its own they will transfer to the bacon but it must be the white part of bacon only.
I have glass all ove body and face from corvette wreck in 1980 didn't start working out till 20 years later last 10 years really bad big red spots all over my face looks awful
Mine has been coming out for 50 years. It happens about 2 or 3 times a week, without fail. Most are very small and barely leave a place, the one I have presently is larger and bleeds when I try to remove it...
So glad it's not just me. 3.5 years since truck vs pole. Started feeling prickly sensations in both ears last May. Especially when I bent down. Throb and it felt like little people in both ears with pick axes. It is beyond discouraging. Incredibly painful and time consuming. My favorite has to be EVERYONE telling me it's my imagination. Large amount of glass, and debris. So the assumption is the glass/debris has traveled downward from the large laceration left forehead? Well good luck everyone!!!! Time to go a glass hunting!!!!!!!
Wow...I feel like I have a whole glass FAMILY here!! I too, suffer (and I mean SUFFER!) from the glass nightmare! I was in a wreck 3 years ago, and though I had no blood or injuries showing at the time of the accident, I did eat a windshield & obviously, a great deal of glass took up residence in my FACE. It began coming out of my right eyebrow a year ago, then my left eyebrow, and now, my lips. (I'd rather have it in my eyebrows any day!) As painful & irritating as it is, it's even MORE irritating for ppl to assume I'm NUTS, or that I MUST be a meth-head since it's literally, tearing my face to shreds & making me look like one! Yes, I'm a "picker" but (as I'm sure we're ALL aware of!) It only stops hurting when the glass is finally O-U-T! I feel so much better tho, to know there are others out there, who can relate to EXACTLY what I'm dealing with!
Oh wow, thank you SO much for sharing your story. After reading every comment, its obvious that you've stopped many of us from thinking that we were crazy. Im sure many of us were happy to find others who understood just how frustrating this is! I can't recall the actual incident that deposited the glass in my hand hut for the last 5 or so years I have been pulling chunks and tiny shards of glass from my hands. At first it was coming through the cuticles on my finger nails, then from under my finger nails. Thank goodness it doesn't try to work it's way out through the fingernails any more because that was excruciating. Usually what happens now is that I get a cut on either hand ( sometimes as the glass works it's way out it only takes a bump to that area to break the skin) the wound doesn't heal. I end up having to pick 20 to 30 tiny shards of glass from the the cut before it will heal. Over the years I have almost pulled out a much larger (maybe the original piece?) piece of glass. It is very deep in my hand and when it moves my finger starts to go numb. I am almost positive that there has been damage done to the nerves. Of course my boyfriend would find different ways to tell me it was it was in my head. I was starting to feel like he had to be right. I finally got the search words right because this blog was the first search result!! It's awful what everyone here has had to endure. It isn't bad enough that we are literally being torn up from the inside out but also being told that we are imagining it or being judged because we spend hours trying to pick out tiny knife like pieces of glass out of our bodies. It has been very frustrating. Again, Im just so grateful to have found all of your stories. I really feel like there should be support groups for survivors of bodily glass expulsion!
I am having the same thing happen to me. Had a rollover 6b years ago and for the past 4 years have pulled massive amounts of glass, asphalt and debris out of my scalp. My hair is missing in a large area where it keeps coming out. The itching is exciting except it also really can't be scratched the only relief is pulling the stuff out. I'm so glad I found this site because I felt like I was loosing it. The headaches are horrible. God bless to anyone suffering through this.
I'm sorry for this 😔 I have the same issue my accident was 10/2020. The painful itchy sting is killing me 😪 I want it to STOP !! My face healed nicely but the right side by my temple is deep and still is slightly open. I wish you a speedy
So has anyone figured out how to get all the shards out? I'm losing my mind. The itching, burning, intense unbearable pain etc. PLEASE HELP !!!
I am 73 years old, and from SW FLORIDUMB! I went thru 2 windshields a year apart in 1971 and 1972, and the Summer of 2019 began seeing bumps on my face. NEARLY 50 YEARS LATER! I pulled one teeny tiny itsy bitsy shard out with small size cuticle nippers (THE BEST), and I knew immediately what it was. A plastic surgeon said, “There’s no medical help for you.” I went to my PCP and dermatologist and BOTH of them think I am “delusional!” ! Seriously!!! I even pulled a teeny weeny shard out of my nose in front of my dermatologist and she said, “I don’t recognize this as glass.” I couldn’t effing believe it!!! I begged for a CTScan from my PCP and it came back with NO GLASS SHOWING UP!!! I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. HAS THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ONE OF YOU? It’s all over my face in several dozens of places, in my lips, and covering my nose where there are no longer any pores because the glass is prohibiting them from showing. AND IT HURTS LIKE HELL! And it’s like sand in my scalp, exactly where I went thru the windshields prior to seat belts at a high speed - upper right of my scalp, etc... because I was driving both times. The only place it does not feel like “sand” under my scalp is in the lower left side of my head, which didn’t get the impact! NO ONE BELIEVES ME!!!
So I thank God for you all! I am VERY grateful for ALL your stories and sharing this horrendous situation. I DON’T UNDERSTAND why the “medical community” is so ignorant. I even asked my PCP to read this, and he didn’t give a rip. What happened to the oath they took regarding, “First do no harm.”??? THE ONE DR. who DID possibly believe me was my gynecologist - I’m looking everywhere for help! He’s the one who recommended I beg for a CTScan. NOW HE’S gonna get the radiologist’s report and HE’LL PROBABLY THINK I’M NUTS AS WELL! Even my husband doesn’t believe me. I have about a hundred samples I have put on double stick tape and STILL I hear, “That doesn’t look like glass” from the meds - jerks!!! There’s blood on the shards you effing morons! And more than likely skin tissue! I guess they think glass should come out of my body looking like 8x10 glass from a photo frame! I am really pissed off about this in case you can’t tell, and I don’t know what to do. If you HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS as to what I should do NEXT, I would truly appreciate it. I am a retired Social Worker and I know what “DELUSIONAL” means for God’s sake. I am NOT mentally ill. Have any of you all been told this? This is frightening for someone with integrity and dignity to be told this! AS YOU ALL KNOW, BLESS YOUR FABULOUS HEARTS!
To make matters worse - if that’s possible, my one-eyed PCP can’t see thru his “windshield Covid helmet” and can’t feel anything due to his Covid gloves you could prune your hedges with!!! And my dermatologist is another moron who should have HER head examined. These Cracker Jack box degreed “higher educational folk” shouldn’t be so careless with the “diagnoses” they throw around. I bet mice would howl if anyone called THEM delusional! OK. I vented enough I suppose . . . Any ideas? BLOG ME BACK! I’ll be here WITH you and FOR you! - Take care and Stay Safe. - One shard-at-a-time... DilluseinAll.♥️
Small cuticle nippers, not the ones for toes, but use the one for hands, is the best way I’ve found to remove glass debris of smaller almost microscopic sizes. Easy to control and they don’t “couge” unless YOU do.
Should have been “gouge”, NOT “couge”.
No, well I haven't anyways. I just pick it out. The pointy ones are the worst. Or when ou run your fingers through your hair and one snaps off. I hate this. I feel like I'm going crazy. And sometimes it plain out hurts.
My Husband..or ex Husband doesn't believe me either. He makes fun of me. I just thought because he's the one who did it. And YES! it's just like sand in the scalp. And mine was a coffee cup so the pieces are kind of flat with the scalp and when I pull them sometimes its pretty bad. I think you need to tell your Dr what you have major headaches and they will do a special test. I'll look at what's its called because I want one too.
I was in a bad car accident 44yrs ago the windshield shattered in tiny fragments, our car hit a tree and the impact was so bad, I had died 3 times and had to learn how to walk again. About 1yr after I started getting glass out of my face. After about 6yrs of scarring I had a chemical face peel, after my skin started peeling away I was wiping tiny pieces of glass off, I went on over the years and had 2 more peels. All the time I would be getting glass out of my face and my ears where I had them pierced. Glass will work it's way out of opening in your body, it's weird I know. My dermatologist had me on antibiotics for a year because of the infection on my skin, and would give me something to relax me so I wouldn't dig at it. Cause all you want to do is get it out. There were days my face looked terrible and I would just hide in my apartment. Fast forward to now, my face is way better, I have figured out how to get it out with no scarring. Oil is the best thing, vitaman e, or anything that is greasy. It softens the skin around the glass and it will come to the surface quicker. My biggest problem now are my sinuses, I have started getting glass out of the inside of my nose and I have weeks where I'm miserable from the nerve endings it pushes on and causes my nose to get inflamed and run like a faucet. After a week of running pieces will start coming out, long slivers that are hard transparent and have a yellow tint. You can see it is glass. I haven't yet figured out how to deal with this. I had told my nurse practitioner but don't know if she believes me. When it does happen she will give me a steroid for the swelling or I can't breathe through my nose.i feel bad for anyone who has to go through the glass thing. I'm sure I will till my last day on earth
A chemical face peel will take layers of skin and the glass will come out also, it did with me. That won't be the end of it because they come up in different layers over the years. Pur vitaman e oil on your skin also it softens the tissue so it can come out easier.
I've started to wonder if I'll have to deal with this until my last day on earth as well. It sure isn't any way to live tho, I know that. It's gotten really bad (again!) and I have never been more miserable in all my life. Siiiigh...
I might be crazy to friends and family; or, I really packed my hands with auto clear coat. Over 10 years ago I was polishing an exterior of a car to remove the oxidation old school with polish and rags. Few months later I started experiencing sliver like sores on my fingers. Having had slivers before, I attempted to pinch, pick, cut, poke...;these sores would not budge. It clicked soon after that I self surgically found a new home for thousands of clear brittle shards of glass like material in my hands. Many trips to doctors, dermatologist, x-rays, scans, chronic pain, given title OCD over self mutilating my appearance. It meshed its fiber into my flesh making it extremely painful to remove and let heal. I became introverted and embarrassed of the bandages I applied to cover the grotesque wounds that were left behind from the filleting of my skin to remove this foreign material. At one small window of time I felt at ease with thought that they were all out; not the case. These objects moved throughout my body to find a new way out. Traveling up from the finger tips, to palms, to wrist, and to this day finding exit routes on top of hands, neck, scalp, forehead, lips... I have collected bags of this material that dries and turns back to its hard substance in hope to prove my sanity. No findings from the biopsies, labs or professionals for this freak occurrence. All by myself on this one until stumbling upon this blog. Thank you for giving me a little hope.
Hey. I am with you. This part really resonates with what I've experienced the last year: "It meshed its fiber into my flesh making it extremely painful to remove and let heal. I became introverted and embarrassed of the bandages I applied to cover the grotesque wounds that were left behind from the filleting of my skin to remove this foreign material." I was also in a freak accident and have found myself with glass in my body and face. It is horrible and nobody seems to understand the pain and frustration and mental side effects from this type of stuff. I am glad to know there are others like me out there suffering in this strange and misunderstood way. It's mind numbingly awful and I haven't found anything that truly works well yet. Just knowing there are others like me out there gives me a slight sense of comfort in that I am not alone. We are not alone.
Hi CC, It is very frustrating to know deep inside there is something going on that is not normal. I feel of your pain and believe. Those that you associate with do not understand and even the ones that are close to you are distancing themselves because of the issue. Even now as I type I see bandages on my thumbs with the pain only a pin cushion should experience. My tongue brushes over an area of my lip that cracks open to bleed when ever I open my mouth for a large bite of food. It never occurred to me on that day that if I continue applying pressure to the car with the rag I would end up regretting I ever started that project. I am not one to do any social outreach; however when I came upon this during my search to see if there was something on the topic, I had to leave my story. Thank you, and thank you to all who have shared theirs.
I have been living with pain and foreign body feeling in my left eye and dry eye. Was misdiagnosed with simple blepharitis and ignored. I saw several migraine doctors and sinus doctors even a neurologist trying to pinpoint the eye pressure and headaches behind that eye. I never thought about glass until today. It makes sense to me as 9 years ago a glass broke while washing it amd i had glass removed from my eye then.It makes more sense now because when i touch it i feel a sharp sting like a splinter. I thought i had a chalazian but its causing that and its a shard i just know it. I see a specialist again next Wednesday so Ill explain it all to him then. Thank you for opening my eyes, SO TO SPEAK...
It's been nine years since I was in my car accident I was in the highway headed to town on the night of the Fourth of July and there was a car coming on the wrong side of the highway I went to pull to the side and as soon as the truck hit the gravel we started to roll it was me and my daughter my daughter got thrown out of the truck all she got was a scratch on her knee and I got a broken arm and apparently a bunch of glass in my skin at the time they treated the broken arm for 2 years and then now now years later the glass is coming out of my face my scalp my shoulders at first I thought I was going crazy I didn't know what to think was going on it's horrible my face is so scarred from my shoulders with cars in it I'm in pain everyday I really don't know what to do. Can somebody help please I am begging for somebody's help I can't do this anymore I can't live like this anymore
I put my face through a windshield in March or April of 1996, the last few years I noticed small sand sized pieces of something coming out of my forehead, usually because I thought it was a pimple or scab that I scratched, then I can hear and feel the click from my nail scraping over the shard. I thought I had to be imagining it, that it couldn't be glass over 26 years later. Glad I found this thread, now I'm obsessed, poking and prodding at every tiny bump on my forehead. It's not that bad, just slightly annoying and leaves a tiny pimple like mark on my face till it heals. Though this obsession could get worse. Thanks for confirming what I've thought was going on for years. Wear your seat belts ya dopes. Lol
I had a car wreck 30 years ago and both my daughters and me still have tiny pieces of glass come out of our body. It's usually at the same time too, which I find very crazy!
Hey Fam Bam! Hope all of you crazy Glasser's are doing good. So 2016 is when I got hit in the head and it's still coming out. I'm scared for big daddy in the back though to be honest. I feel that piece is holding my skull together lol. Big Hugs xoxo
I was in wreck 34 years ago as well. This last week all the glass has surfaced to the top of my head and forehead. What would make them surface after 34 years? So weird
I dropped a message here back on 24/2/21 05:20 and 26/2/21 01:00 in amazement that I finally found others that were experiencing the same situation that I was. This has been HELL!! Prior to me sitting at the PC I extracted a few more shards out of my thumb with a utility blade. I keep this blade handy when these surface and dry up to send pulses of pain to all nerve endings. Why?? Is this some twisted punishment? For What?? WTF -JS
I was in a car accident 20 years or so ago. Glass everywhere. I had so much glass in my scalp that the only relief I could get was to pull my hair out in that area hoping to relieve the agony. My boyfriend thinks I have a mental problem. He doesn't understand what it's like to have that itch and not be able to even see it to get it out. If only he would believe me and help me get the slivers out when they begin to itch...maybe I wouldn't be bothering, itching, scratching and pulling on those spots usually it is the same spot but sometimes it's in a new one.i think I have most of them out but there are several spots that I can't stand and are always grabbing at....I'm not mental....but am looking for relief from this problem...if only he believed me and helped me when this aroused ......my problem would be solved.. but he doesn't believe me. He only thinks I have a disorder and I know what it is...but he won't help. I'm not crazy...although the itch is just about agonizing to drive me crazy....day after day...it's an awful kind of pain...if only he would help ....
My accident was Valentine’s night when I was 21... I am now 53. You should see how bad it has been the last 2 years with glass shards making their way out of my forehead, scalp and chin. My face also took out a windshield- and I have had knots on my forehead that I knew were not just scar tissue because there has always been a painful tingle if you applied pressure to those points. They are FULL of glass. After almost 32 years of extracting glass- I keep hoping I am near the end... It has gotten worse in the last 2 years. It is never just one shard, it is multiple smaller shards all coming out in one area that creates sores. It is AWFUL and so embarrassing!
I had glass in my scalp and Everytime my hair would try to grow back it would cut it one I removed the glass my hair grew back I removed it with tweezers
I've noticed that t shirt material rolls it out the best
I second this comment I moisturized and now it is all over it is not just all over my face it is also in my nail beds from tweezing it out so tired of this I was in a car wreck in 2009 but now anykind of glass material that breaks sticks in me even porcelain it's crazy I would like to know how to repel it if anyone knows please let me know
I have noticed if you put hemorrhoid ointment on it at night usually the next day it will come to the top and you can pull from the sides then the top
I'm thinking the sweating from this summers heat really helping with drawing alot of mine out
